This policy explains what information Rock My Resume LLC (“Rock My Resume,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit rockmyresume.com or use our resume, cover letter, CV, LinkedIn and related writing services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
• Order and billing details: the services you buy, your billing address and your order history. Card and payment details are entered directly with our payment processors. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Career information: your current resume, work history, education, job targets, intake form answers, LinkedIn profile details and any files you upload. You decide what to share. Please do not send information we do not need, such as government ID numbers.
• Messages: what you send us by email, phone, website chat, contact forms, free resume review requests or consultation bookings.
• Newsletter signups: your first name and email address if you join The Resume Room, our email newsletter.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked and the site that referred you.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5.
• Checkout details: if you enter your email address at checkout, we save it along with the items in your cart, even if you do not finish your order. We use this only to send you a reminder about your order (see section 2).

2. How we use your information

• To write, edit and deliver your documents, and to handle revisions.
• To process payments, send order confirmations and provide customer support.
• To respond to your questions, free resume review requests and consultation bookings.
• Checkout reminders: if you start checking out and do not finish, we may send up to two emails with a link back to your cart. Each reminder has a link to stop further reminders.
• Marketing emails: if you join The Resume Room or tick the newsletter box, we send resume and job search tips and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it, and to measure and show our ads (see section 5).
• To prevent fraud, keep our website secure and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed for them to do that work for us. These include:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

• Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes.
• Your documents and career information are kept so we can handle revisions and help you again if you come back. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
• Unfinished checkout records are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

5. Cookies, analytics and ads

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use our site and measure our advertising. These include:

• Essential cookies for the shopping cart, checkout and security.
• Google Analytics to understand site traffic. Learn more or opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site. We do not send your name, email address, resume or other details you give us to these ad platforms.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Google, Meta and LinkedIn account settings. Some parts of our site, such as checkout, may not work without essential cookies.

6. Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
• Access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing support@rockmyresume.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may keep some records where the law requires it.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, such as the right to know what we collect and to opt out of targeted advertising. We will honor these requests as the law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and trusted service providers. No website or online service is completely secure, so please avoid sending information we do not need.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on our website.
